Igniting children’s curiosity
At Towcester Museum, we’re passionate about igniting children’s curiosity about history and we love making their visits here as fun and kid-friendly as we can.
Our friendly rat guide, Dorum, shares grisly facts about Towcester’s history.
We have dressing up areas with a
variety of historic costumes, interactive
games, e-learning, worksheets, puzzles
and quizzes.

“The museum was full of treasure, I found a coin in the quiz and got a certificate!”
Exhibitions & Events
Shaping the Museum together
Whether you’re based in Towcester or one of the surrounding villages, your ideas can help shape what we do next, from exhibition themes and local stories to events, talks or partnerships.
If you have an idea to share, or something you think deserves a place in a future display, we’d be delighted to hear from you. We’re especially keen to connect with local history groups, schools, businesses, collectors and families with a story to tell.
